Nashville Sounds baseball soon to Germantown

The Nashville Sounds baseball team is now selling tickets for the home games in the new stadium in Germantown near the Farmers Market. The first home game is Friday, April 17th at 7:05 pm. What a great day it would be to start out with the Local Tastes of Nashville food tour which starts at the Farmers Market and walks by the Sounds stadium into Germantown.

Saturday tours!

We now have a Saturday tour with the addition of Butchertown Hall! Butchertown was a nickname of Germantown due to the many butcheries in Germantown in the 1800s. Their beef brisket is great so that is what we have on the tour.  Jenni’s ice cream now has a location at the Farmers Market so you can enjoy that after the tour if you have any room left!

Music city is on fire! Check out these artists

Winter Weather and food tours

I am learning from doing food tours in Nashville during the winter months that weather is much more than the temperature. The “feel like” temperature is more important to me than what the thermometer says. Today it was 34 degrees but it was nice with the sun shining and a “feel like” temp of 40. I can do that any day!

Tempur Chocolate shoppe!

Tempur Chocolate shoppe is now open and on our tour! All the truffles and chocolate that I have tasted are great.

Happy New Year!!

We had a great tour on the last day of 2014 and looking forward to 2015. Marcia at The Mad Platter went out of her way to cook reubens for our group even though they were closed for lunch.  We ended at the new Tempur Chocolate where we had a yummy truffle and toffee. Marcia…

Titans game brings Giants fans

I had 9 Giants fans on the tour yesterday from NJ. They came in for the Titans Giants game tomorrow. I enjoyed giving them the Local Tastes of Nashville tour. I think their favorite food was the reuben from the Mad Platter
